A magnitude 6.5 earthquake has struck off the coast of Tonga.
The earthquake was recorded at 8.05pm UTC on Tuesday close to the Vavaʻu island group.
Geoscience Australia reported that the quake occurred at a shallow depth of 10km.
In response to the Bureau of Meteorology, there isn’t any tsunami risk to Australia.
