Worker suspected of $4,200 value of iPhone thefts at FedEx in Athens

Athens-Clarke police detectives are investigating the alleged in-house thefts of merchandise on the FedEx facility on Olympic Drive.

Police started their investigation on Tuesday after an government with FedEx reported they’d proof that an worker working as a truck driver was stealing packages, in line with the report.

The worker was seen taking packages that weren’t assigned to him and putting them in his truck, in line with the report. These packages, containing largely iPhones, had been imagined to be shipped to an AT&T retailer that was not on the suspect’s route, in line with police. The objects are valued at about $4,200.

FedEx safety additionally informed police that the suspect could also be related to earlier thefts of some related merchandise that had been imagined to be delivered to areas in Bethlehem and Oconee County.
