D-Day eightieth anniversary commemorations proceed tonight in awe-inspiring scenes in Normandy

Commemorations celebrating the eightieth anniversary of D-Day have continued tonight in awe-inspiring scenes happening in Normandy. 

Occasions continued properly into the night within the French seaside city as troopers, veterans, officers and members of the general public gathered for remembrance occasions in England and France. 

A vigil for the Commonwealth Conflict Graves Fee’s Nice Vigil came about on the Bayeux Conflict Cemetery in Normandy, whereas throughout the Channel a drone show lit up the skies above the shoreline in Portsmouth. 

Earlier within the day bagpipers from France, Germany and the UK united to play their devices throughout a procession from Bayeux Cathedral forward of right now’s vigil. 

Heartwarming photographs have proven veterans celebrating with family members and remembering their fallen comrades within the lead as much as the anniversary of the Normandy landings of June 1944.
